Small Hydro Plants of Luângua, Luchimua and Meponda

The Pre-feasibility Study for Electrification of several settlements was divided into 3 Lots:

• Lot 1 - Luângua small hydro plant, for the settlements of Micuinha and Lochesse;
• Lot 2 - Luchimua small hydro plant, for the settlements of Ntimbe and Munhehere;
• Lot 3 - Meponda small hydro plant, for the settlements of Meponda and Machele.

Each lot included the following elements:

• Complete hydrological study of the hydrographic basins of the Luângua, Luchimua and Litombochi rivers;
• Socio-economic survey to assess the electricity needs of each settlement to serve;
• Geological and Geotechnical Studies of the construction sites;
• Preliminary study of the small hydro plants constituent parts.
